Fugitive Extradition And Recovery
The F.E.A.R. Division was established to affect the recovery of wanted fugitives that have fled Luzerne County. Everyday these wanted fugitives are tracked and apprehended throughout the country. This division is responsible for traveling to wherever the fugitive is located and extraditing them back to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to face the court system. When the Luzerne Sheriff's Office uses internal FEAR resources to track and apprehend wanted fugitives instead of hiring private contractors, the taxpayers of Luzerne County save an average of 66% of the cost of each recovery.
