Criminal Offenders Being Rapidly Apprehended
The Special Investigation Division was established to affect the arrests of very high profile violent criminals, who have had a bench warrant issued for their arrest by the court system of Luzerne County. These individuals have been arrested and jailed by this unit for crimes ranging from retail theft, drug possession & delivery, aggravated assault, DUI, rape, and homicide. This Division works very closely in conjunction with other local law enforcement agencies, state agencies, and federal agencies, not only in the county as well as through out the United States and Canada who have asked for our assistance in tracking down fugitives from their areas who have fled to Luzerne County. This unit has successfully arrested over several thousand wanted fugitives in Luzerne County since its origin, and will continue to do so to make Luzerne County a safer place.
